RISE Leadership Youth Conference

Anyone can change the world, but none of us are given a road map on how to do it. The route to action is not easy and sometimes we get lost along the way. We get distracted by our busy lives and many times are overwhelmed by the idea of starting something new. The mission of the RISE LEADERSHIP YOUTH CONFERENCE (RLYC) is to help provide a clear path of how you can start on your journey to becoming your best YOU!

Thank you for your interest in attending our 2nd Rise Leadership Youth Conference!

For the second year, we are offering the opportunity for scholars to be a part of the RISE Youth Leadership Conference (RYLC). if chosen, YOU are the most critical and influential part of our Youth conference. Being chosen to receive a scholarship to attend this conference is truly an honor. It means that you have worked hard throughout the year to help make a positive change in your school and/or community and you have shown the potential to be a true leader.

We review all aspects of the criteria listed below and your application. Please be as thorough as possible when completing your youth application and return prior to the deadline.

To be eligible to attend the conference, you should fit the following criteria:

– Between the ages of 13-17 years old.
– Have the strong desire to create impactful change within your community.
– Submit one (1) completed application (this form)
– Return one (1) letter of recommendation.
Must be able to stay overnight July 5th-July 10th at Marywood University.
– Must attend all workshops/classes on site.
– Willing to join the RISE Youth Council in the Fall of 2021
– Come with a positive attitude and ability to work well with others

If selected as youth conference attendee, you will be notified by May 30th . If selected for this scholarship, all expenses will be paid ( this includes housing, all on-campus meals, course materials, academic expenses, activities and chartered, air-conditioned motor coaches, for transportation to and from Marywood University). Attendees must be Covid-19 tested 72 hours prior to the start of the conference. All CDC guidelines must be followed at this conference, including social distancing, and masks.

Upon completion of this program, scholars will receive 40 hours of community service from RISE that includes educational programming in leadership and team skill building, social justice activism, drug awareness, and substance abuse prevention, self-defense, and mental health.
